Our History
More About The Founder
Since early age, Rose Ngatikao become involved in Indonesian Dance in her native home of Jakarta, Indonesia. Rose has a solid training in traditional Balinese Dance at "Sanggar Kencana Indah" in Jakarta for more than 12 years. Gaining various qualifications and accredited Indonesian Government certificates in Balinese Dancing. She trained young dancers in Jakarta for about 2 years before she decided to further her study in Taiwan in 1996.
In 1998 Rose migrated to Australia and now she is residing in Perth. After a few years absence in Indonesian Dance, in 2011 she joined a dance troupe called "Selendang Sutra - Indonesian Community Dancers" and quickly became one of the troupe's dance instructors. Rose trained the troupe in many dance routines from various origins in Indonesia.
Rose performs classical Balinese, Sumatran, Sulawesi, Kalimantan, Folk Javanese, Sundanese Jaipong and contemporary Indonesian dances.

Later in her career, in early 2013 Rose became a freelance dancer and has started her own dance studio in Baldivis and Parmelia WA.

Batik Workshop
Whether you’re looking to learn the technique of batik or hone in on your existing art talent, this class is what you are looking for. The instructors are committed to giving each student attention while also moving the class forward with different techniques of making batik.
